A Wedding in a Barn

Who would have thought the words wedding and barn could work together in such a harmony and look so elegant and romantic!  well Melissa and Ryan sure pulled it off! cowboy boots, wild flowers, manzanita branches and lace are part of this fabulous and very unique vintage DIY wedding photographed by Ken Kienow.

Melissa and Ryan got married at the Dana Powers Barn part of the Dana Powers House, a beautiful location built in 1882 on a portion of the historic 37,888-acre Rancho Nipomo, in Nipomo, California.

Many of the gorgeous details and arrangements on this wedding were made by Melissa herself incorporating elements found and bought. The flower arrangements were made by April Flowers which I think are delightful!

Something Blue…

As I’m searching the internet for my favorite wedding photographers, I found a wedding photographed by Jimmy Cheng Photography I just couldn’t pass on and had to show it to you all.

Barbara & Zach got married at the Malibu Nature Preserve, in Malibu California. The venue has the most spectacular views of the ocean yet provides a beautiful forest for the reception. The perfect beach wedding if you ask me!

But what I love the most about this wedding is the freshness and simplicity of the arrangements and decoration. Teal and orange combined with a bright sunny day and a beautiful couple! This wedding exudes elegance on every single detail.

Love is in the Snow – Chad + Cheryl’s Indianapolis Engagement Session

Don’t let the snow stop you from having a fabulous e-session! Chad & Cheryl didn’t and had the most adorable engagement shoot I’ve ever seen! Images captured by Stacy, from Stacy Able Photography.

Despite the cold and the snow they booth look fresh, happy and had no problem being totally charming. The sled, the colorful paper hearts and even the candy hearts on the snow totally adorable! and look at her outfits and shoes! you can certainly be totally fashion even in the snow.

Be daring, be fun, be you on your e-session and don’t be afraid to be spontaneous!

Stacy’s pictures are fabulous and fresh and you can tell Char & Cheryl are deeply in love. I can’t wait to see your wedding pictures, I’m sure they are going to be fabulous!
